Abstract

Through the Community Partnership Program (PKM), an activity can be carried out to improve the quality and quantity of salted fish production in the Mandiri Salted Fish business group in Rejosari, Tenayan Raya district, Pekanbaru, to become an independent development group through smart digital innovation in biomass-based drying technology. The method used is the lecture method, followed by discussion and use of tools directly at the Partner's place of business. Meanwhile, the lecture and discussion method for participants is carried out in the classroom by presenting the material directly over a 2 week interval, while the demonstration method is carried out at the Partner's place of business. This technological innovation is made using coconut shell biomass waste as raw material. The PKM activity of the Mandiri Salted Fish Making business group in Rejosari, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru is the application of alternative technology to provide solutions to the obstacles faced by this group, including: (1) making improvements to the management of implementing innovative drying technology based on coconut shell waste and (2) improvement of environmental quality through the use of coconut shell biomass waste as demonstrated by the support and ability to collaborate as partners with the community service team from the Physics Department, FMIPA, Riau University
