Student MSMEs are generally not managed well. The awareness of students in urban areas like Jakarta is that they do not fully want to develop student-managed entrepreneurship. However, due to several demands from the campus to become entrepreneurs, UNJ communication science undergraduate study program students created student entrepreneurs by optimizing the social media Instagram. There are 10 student MSMEs managed by students from the Bachelor of Communication Science study program. As a marketing tool, they use Instagram social media to market their business products. The aim of this service activity is to help MSME students be able to optimize Instagram social media so that their MSME products can be competitive. The activity method used is project-based learning in copywriting courses. The results of this activity are that students are able to manage Instagram social media and optimize social media by improving the performance of the content produced, getting likes from users and increasing sales of their products.

The numeracy literacy skills of students in Indonesia are still lacking or quite low and still need to be improved. This is due to the influence of inappropriate technology adaptation. The purpose of this activity is to implement several teaching campus programs that will improve the literacy and numeracy skills of Advent 5 Medan Private Junior High School students. This activity was carried out from February to June 2024. The methods used in this activity are lectures, discussions and direct practice in front of the class. At the end of the activity, students will be given a quiz activity to hone their thinking skills in answering literacy and numeracy questions. This activity also provides benefits for students in exploring talents and interests in critical thinking to solve literacy and numeracy problems in students. The result of this activity is that students are able to carry out several activities such as, reading, writing, counting, and competing quickly in answering literacy and numeracy questions. The benefits of this activity also provide very high motivation in exploring students' cognitive, psychomotor and motoric abilities in personal branding to become students with superior and competitive character.

Rubbish is items that are no longer used by their owners and are typically discarded. Improperly managed or burned waste can have significant negative impacts. Environmental pollution is one of the main consequences of waste that is carelessly disposed of leading to contamination. Accumulated waste becomes a breeding ground for diseases, such as mosquito and rat infestations, which can carry various illnesses that affect humans. This situation can negatively impact the quality of life and the hygienist of the environment surrounding the waste. Therefore, it is essential to have a container to collect waste in Karya-Indah-Village to maintain a hygienic environment and protect the health of the people living nearby. This Community Service’s purpose is to provide rubbish-bins at the public service facility in Karya-Indah-Village. This activity has received full support from the village authorities. The availability of rubbish-bins, hopefully, will increase public awareness of the negative impacts and dangers of waste and waste burning on health, as well as enhance the community's concern for the environment and health. Thus, the Community Service Team from the University of Riau, together with MBKM Kukerta Unri students, has provided rubbish-bins in Karya-Indah-Village to improve the quality of life in the village.

Tuntungan II Village is quite close to the original university, namely Universitas Sumatera Utara, which is only 15 km away. This area is currently the target area for community services activities because it is related to the rise in criminal activity in this village. This is related to the increasing difficulty for residents to obtain work. The Al Ikhlas Mosque, which is located in this village, is a mosque that was only built in the last 3 years with community self- funding and involving donations from various parties. Currently, this mosque can function as a means of large-scale congregational prayers such as Friday prayers, etc. However, due to limited funds, many facilities have not yet been met. Among these are security support facilities. Due to the limitations faced by residents, this mosque has minimal lighting and does not have its own security guard when residents perform their prayers. As a result, residents often complain about the frequent loss of motorbikes and other valuables. The entry of the community services team into this area is a breath of fresh air to answer the need for worship facilities. Now, with the installation of 8 channel closed circuit television (CCTV) with a 43inch flat television and lighting around the mosque area with 6 solar power plant-based public street lighting, it provides security and comfort for residents who worship. Pansur Napitu Village is located in Siatas Barita District, North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province. This village is 280 km from the city of Medan which can be reached using a four-wheeled vehicle in 7 hours. The village population in general is the Batak tribe which covers 90% of the total population. In general, residents have agricultural main businesses such as rice, corn and other secondary crops. Until now, rice farming is still the mainstay of farmers in this village. Almost 90% of farmers hope for their rice crops. However, farmers experience problems in handling production, where farmers have to pay additional costs to the rice mill warehouse to make it ready for market. These costs are felt to be burdensome for farmers, which results in the income that farmers will receive being relatively low. The entry of the Universitas Sumatera Utara community services team raised new hopes for the community. This activity is also assisted by 3 students who will be trained to take action to resolve this problem. Now with the implementation of a rice milling machine with a capacity of 750 kg/hour which was donated to Pansur Napitu Village, the community has become more independent in carrying out its rice milling and the costs incurred for rice milling can be reduced to become cheaper. Automatically, the community will be more helped by the donated tools.

Urban farming is carried out to overcome limited land and increase family food security. Cultivating vegetable crops and raising fish are solutions for urban agriculture. The method for implementing International Community Service (PkMI) was implemented in Medan and Penang, Malaysia in June 2024 at the Griya Nusa Tiga Complex Blok B-29 Medan through: a). Socialization and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) regarding urban farming education in residential environments ; b). Hydroponic and Aquaponic training and practice (budikdamber); c). Entrepreneurship training and practice for partners; d). Mentoring and monitoring. PkMI results show ed an increase in the knowledge and skills of partners (20 residents of the Griya Nusa Tiga Complex) in understanding the definition, benefits and implementation of Urban Farming; the growth of the entrepreneurial spirit of residents for independent and sustainable aquaponic cultivation; and able to meet dual protein needs (vegetables and fish); processing budikdamber products appropriately.

The technical advice initiative for the implementation of solar panels in hydroponic and aquaponic culture at SDI As-Salam and SMPIT As-Salam in Malang City seeks to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the school's hydroponic and aquaponic systems. The primary issues encountered are elevated operational expenses related to power and reliance on PLN. The team executed a solution by installing solar panels with a cumulative capacity of 800 watts peak, including four 200-watt panels and an energy storage battery with a 400-watt capacity. The training results indicated that the solar panels could power the hydroponic gadget continuously for 24 hours. The training included the principal and instructors, who then instructed pupils in hydroponic and aquaponic farming techniques. Success indicators encompass the enhancement of skills and knowledge among educators and pupils pertaining to renewable energy technologies and agricultural practices, the effective installation and functioning of solar panels, and the diminishment of reliance on PLN electricity. This activity offers real advantages through reduced operational expenses while also enhancing students' understanding of environmentally focused technologies. Additional potential prospects encompass the commercialization of hydroponic vegetable production and project-based teaching aimed at enhancing environmental consciousness.

This article describes the financial management of the ornamental fish tourism village Kadisoro Nyawiji dadi siji (Dewi Kajii), Gilangharjo, Pandak, Bantul in a transparent and accountable manner. Implementation is through systematic bookkeeping, regular reporting, and external audits. The three activities are carried out to mitigate financial risks and increase stakeholder trust. The application of technology such as modern accounting software and the conduct of independent audits ensure effective financial oversight thus contributing to an efficient management process. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, documentation and Focus Group Discussions with community leaders and tourism village managers. The analysis technique was carried out using qualitative methods. Dewi Kajii's financial management can be a model for other tourist village managers because it has proven to be effective and contributive to the economic development of the community.

This article explains the results of community service in disaster-prone areas, namely the Merapi Volcano Tour in Umbulharjo Village, Cangkringan, Sleman, DI Yogyakarta, which is based on social and cultural sustainability. The results of the discussion show that the natural potential of Mount Merapi, including forests, rivers affected by the eruption, agriculture, livestock, the house of the caretaker of the late Mbah Maridjan, the Kaliadem bunker, and the culture of the local community, have been successfully capitalized into leading tourist attractions. Tourism development is carried out by integrating traditions and cultures and involving the community in its management. This strategy based on social and cultural sustainability has proven effective, with the number of tourists in 2022 reaching 415,951 people, which contributes significantly to improving the economy of local residents. One of the results of this community service activity is the implementation of a workshop involving 25 residents, which aims to increase the capacity for participatory tourism management. This workshop provides training on social and cultural-based tourism management, while strengthening collaboration with the government and the private sector. However, several challenges still need to be addressed, such as improving road infrastructure and ensuring tourist safety given the difficult terrain, as well as the need for better collaborative strategies to preserve local culture and improve the quality of tourism services without damaging local cultural heritage.

This used paper is soaked in water then printed with a paper printing tool, then given flower seeds. The paper that is ready to be printed is then dried. Seed paper that is no longer used is then planted. This activity is expected to be an alternative to empowering used paper in the Batu Belah Village community, Kampar District.

The empowerment of fishing communities aims to increase capability, independence, and prosperity in the fisheries sector. Empowerment is part of efforts to strengthen the capacity of fish farmers and groups in Kampung Buatan Baru, Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency, Riau Province, in utilizing fishery resources sustainably, optimizing economic and social potential, and improving welfare. The objectives of this empowerment program are as follows: 1) Fish farmers can increase their capacity and skills; 2) Fish farmers can have access to fisheries resources; 3) Fish farmers can diversify their business in the fisheries sector. The empowerment activities for fish farmers are through direct counseling and demonstration plots for fish ponds. This activity will be carried out from June to August 2024. Activities include the socialization of empowerment programs, planning fisheries extension programs, implementing extension programs, monitoring programs, and evaluating programs. Measuring changes in the impact of this program was carried out by conducting pre-tests and post-tests on participants. The impact analysis results of this activity are changes in fish farmers' knowledge, attitudes, and skills in managing gourami and catfish cultivation businesses. Thus, assistance is needed for fish farmers so that the sustainability of cultivation businesses in Kampung Artificial Baru, Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency, Riau Province can be carried out well.

The Mina Usaha Fish Cultivation Group (Pokdakan) is located in the Rumbai Bukit area, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru, Riau with patin fish as the main aquaculture commodity. Community service activities that overcome the problem of cultivated fish often experiencing mass mortality have been carried out in the first year by increasing knowledge about aspects of aquaculture activities. The problems faced by cultivators in terms of providing quality feed and pond sedimentation rate have also been carried out in the second year. In this third year, processing and marketing activities for various quality patin fish products based on the online market are carried out. The harvest from the Mina Usaha Pokdakan cultivation pond has not been processed optimally into processed products due to the limited knowledge and skills of cultivators in product processing. Assistance and coaching in the processing of harvested products and the development of marketing of various quality patin fish products based on the online market are the main focus of service activities. The activities carried out are preparation for implementation, surveys and market analysis to identify superior patin fish products, discussions and consultations to design product development strategies in tandem with online platform development activities, delivery of materials to empower cultivators in the aspects of maintenance, processing, and improvement of product quality and materials on the use of online platforms, and the implementation of diversified products is carried out through product procurement, promotions, and online advertising. The products that were successfully made were nuggets, fish balls, and surimi. This frozen food product has also been successfully sold through the online market. Implementation evaluations are carried out on an ongoing basis to ensure the effectiveness of activities and allow for adjustments if necessary. The results of the evaluation showed that the enthusiasm of the participants who participated in the activity was very high.

Research-based community service was conducted on the elderly of Dusun Kampung Godang, Pulau Lawas Village, Kampar Regency, which has a Quality Family Village (KB Village) community. The elderly have many complaints of diseases, especially hypertension. The elderly have limited knowledge of preventing neurological effects and hypertension. This paper aims to improve the quality of health of the elderly in the KB Village, focusing on avoiding neurological effects or complaints and hypertension. This elderly community is mostly women and totals 128 people. This study took a sample of 34 respondents with a maximum age of 80. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) method was carried out in a participatory manner among community respondents in a community whose enthusiasm is to encourage transformative actions to solve problems. A series of 2 activities with a time interval of 15 days showed a decrease in hypertension in the elderly. The elderly in the KB Village received efforts to prevent neurological effects through the Participatory Action Research method. Hypertension prevention strategies in KB villages can involve stakeholders in formulating educational activities to reduce the risk of hypertension for the elderly.

The Laskar Mandiri Kampung Kayu Ara Permai Conservation Group uses the mangrove forest to become an edutourism-based tourist attraction with the name Mangrove Sungai Bersejarah (MSB) Edutourism. The problem with managing mangrove tourism is that on average it only relies on the natural charm of mangroves, so visitors are reluctant to visit again. Likewise what happens in MSB tourism, the use of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) from mangroves can be a special attraction in the mangrove area and can also improve the group's economy. The absence of a tourist attraction is the basis for the downstream dedication of mangrove NTFPs as a creative economic group so that it can provide added value to tourist areas. The method used is to provide knowledge and training to groups about the importance of developing NTFPs in tourist areas. The findings show that there is potential for NTFPs that can be developed, such as mangrove batik, dodol, mangrove coffee, kedabu syrup, jeruju sticks, kedabu jam, waru peyek and bolu berembang. The conclusion of the service is that MSB tourism can be developed not only in the edutourism aspect, but can also be developed in the minatourism aspect through NTFPs.

PEMBERDAYAAN GURU SD DALAM PEMBUATAN BUKU BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL INDRAGIRI HULU

Efforts to empower elementary school teachers through socialization and training activities for making local wisdom-based books were carried out at SDN 021 Air Molek, Air Molek II Village, aiming to improve teachers' skills in designing and creating books that integrate the local wisdom of Indragiri Hulu Regency. The training method included theoretical sessions on local wisdom, writing techniques, and book design, as well as hands-on practice in book preparation. The results of the training showed an increase in teachers' skills, with three books published discussing the culture of surat kapal, the history of gibaga, and the history of kembang harum. Participants showed great enthusiasm and applied the new knowledge in their work. However, there were challenges related to a lack of experience among some teachers in book-making, which requires continued support and training. The implications of these findings suggest that with improvements in support and training, this activity has the potential to have a greater positive impact on the quality of education and the preservation of local wisdom in the area. Improved teacher skills are expected to expand the range of locally-based teaching materials and contribute significantly to education in Indragiri Hulu district.

The sustainability of livestock quality is greatly influenced by animal feed. Precision livestock feed products are very important for improving product quality and safety, improving the health and welfare of livestock, as well as reducing the environmental impact of livestock manure by processing it into natural organic fertilizer using a symbiotic mutualism technique between the animal husbandry and agriculture sectors. It is important for farmers to know how to ferment livestock waste to increase soil fertility. This process breaks down the organic materials in livestock manure into nutrients. This is necessary so that the nutrients are more stable and easily absorbed by plants; kills a number of parasites, bad bacteria and pathogens that can inhibit the plant growth process. The methods used in this program include a participatory approach through brainstorming sessions and focus group discussions (FGD), technical training, and intensive mentoring. The results show that the installation of solar power systems successfully reduced electricity costs by up to 40% within the first three months. Additionally, the technical training provided has improved the technical knowledge and skills of 90% of the training participants. The program also increased environmental awareness and participation among students and staff. Challenges such as high initial costs and the need for routine maintenance present opportunities for future improvement through additional funding and ongoing training. The success of this program provides tangible benefits to the school and surrounding community and has the potential to be implemented in other schools.

Writing and publication of scientific papers (KTI) among teachers is still very concerning. This is indicated by the low productivity of teachers in writing and publishing scientific papers. This condition is in accordance with the statement of one of the teachers at the partner's place who stated that there are very few teachers who can write. Therefore, training is needed that can facilitate teachers to be able to improve their competence. This KTI writing training is very important for teachers because it can be a form of continuous professional development in promotion or class which can also improve teacher welfare. From the survey data before the training, participants had difficulty in compiling an appropriate research design and choosing the right analysis method. Participants were often unsure how to analyze the data and interpret the results. Participants often had difficulty in compiling logical conclusions and relevant recommendations. The results of the survey after the training showed a significant increase in understanding of the structure and objectives of scientific papers. Participants were able to present the background of the research more clearly and coherently after the training. Participants showed increased competence in compiling research designs and choosing the right analysis methods. Participants were more confident in analyzing data and interpreting results after participating in training for elementary school teachers in Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency.

The production of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) carried out by cultivators in Komang Sentajo Island Village, Kuantan Singingi has not been optimal and has not been able to meet consumer needs. One of the causes of low fish production is because fish farmers are unable to provide artificial feed (pellets) continuously so that fish are thin and fish growth is relatively slow. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of the people of Komang Sentajo Island Village to make pellets independently with good and correct techniques and apply them to tilapia cultivation so that it becomes a sustainable entrepreneur. The service activities carried out were the delivery of materials and counseling about making independent fish feed in the form of pellets using local ingredients that are cheap but of good quality. Then the practice of making fish feed is also carried out. The results of the evaluation of the implementation of the activity showed that 70% of the participants agreed and 30% of the participants strongly agreed that the material and practice of making fish feed were easy to understand so that the community was able to do it themselves. In addition, activities can be carried out with adequate and simple facilities and infrastructure with a percentage of 80% of participants agree and 20% strongly agree.

The community of Sialang Sakti predominantly works as oil palm farmers. Oil palm cultivation produces biomass, one of which is palm fronds. If palm fronds are not managed properly, they can lead to detrimental effects. Piles of palm fronds can become breeding grounds for pests and diseases that may disrupt surrounding palm plants. The biomass from palm fronds can be processed into vermicompost, but this is not widely known among oil palm farmers. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct socialization regarding the processing of palm fronds into vermicompost. The socialization with the community and Gapoktan Manunggal Sakti took place at the Gapoktan Manunggal Sakti warehouse in Sialang Sakti Village, Siak Regency, Riau Province. By utilizing palm frond biomass, the community was taught how to make vermicompost, supporting sustainable farming practices and biomass utilization. This activity involved community members and Gapoktan Manunggal Sakti, using materials such as palm frond biomass, Lumbricus rubellus worms, cow manure, and sawdust. The outcome of this activity is that participants can identify potential resources, such as palm fronds and other organic waste, to process into vermicompost, which can enhance soil quality and crop productivity. It is hoped that with this training, the people of Sialang Sakti Village can adopt the use of more environmentally friendly organic fertilizers for sustainable agriculture.

One potential processed product is jam. The aim of this training activity is to increase the understanding of crystal guava farmers in producing jam products. The methods used include the observation method, interviews with farmers to measure the success of this activity, while the training method is to provide innovative development for making jam products to the community. Therefore, the existence of a program to strengthen the capacity of student organizations (PPK Ormawa) of the Pakuan Management Student Association can help the Bantar Sari village community in producing derivative products with high added value in the form of Crystal Guava Jam Products. It is hoped that this product can become a sustainable alternative source of income for farmers in Bantarsari village. Sustainable agriculture is the main focus in efforts to meet food needs and preserve the environment. Utilizing organic materials as an environmentally friendly alternative planting medium is one strategy that can be implemented. This service aims to evaluate the effectiveness of gamal leaves and duo bio (rice husks and banana stems) as sustainable planting media for plant growth. The implementation method for this community service is society participatory with three stages, namely the counseling stage, training stage and mentoring stage. The results of this service show that planting media containing gamal leaves and duo bio significantly increases plant growth compared to pure soil growing media. Planting media with a combination of gamal leaves and duo bio produced the highest plant growth, followed by planting media with gamal leaves, duo bio and pure soil. The use of gamal leaves and duo bio as an environmentally friendly alternative planting medium has proven to be effective in increasing plant growth. The use of this planting medium can be a sustainable solution to increase agricultural production and preserve the environment.

Cooking oil is one of the basic necessities in all households in Indonesia. This commodity must always be available because cooking oil is used to process daily food such as frying and stir-frying. The use of cooking oil in household needs is high because it is commonly used for frying. People in Karya Indah Village often use cooking oil repeatedly for frying. The consumable cooking oil is usually disposed of immediately and no further processing is carried out. The immediate environmental impact is the blockage of waterways and the potential for soil pollution. For this reason, it is necessary to make an innovation to used cooking oil that does not pollute the environment when disposed of and has economic value in the community. Community Partnership Empowerment (PKM) activities were carried out in Perum. Gravindo 1, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, Riau. This activity was attended by 10 housewife partners, 3 lecturers and 2 students. This activity consists of three stages, namely the first stage of demonstration of how to refine used cooking oil, the second stage of socialization to residents and the third stage of making dish soap. The resulting product is in the form of dish soap with the use of used cooking oil in its manufacture. This training received a positive response and provided knowledge and skills benefits to housewife partners. The dish soap that has been made can be applied to clean dirt on dishes.

This article describes how bullying is existed at SMPN 4 Dayun. Bullying shows up in various places, including in school environment. Bullying does not only shows up in big cities, but also in rural areas. Berumbung Baru is one of the villages in Dayun District, Siak Regency, which is the location of Kuliah Kerja Nyata Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) of Social and Political Science Students focus on Membangun Kampung Program. The data was collected by doing interviews with the community, distributing questionnaires during the socialization program and reviewing articles from related literatures such as journals, documents, print and online media and other trusted sources. By doing Interview from the community, bullying has become something quite massive in Berumbung Baru area. It should be noticed that Berumbung Baru is one of the villages need information and socialization related to bullying intensively. Doing some significant efforts to prevent bullying by sharing information and socialization, especially to students in grade 3 of SMPN 4 Dayun and parents in Berumbung Baru are potential method. This article shows that the understanding of students, teachers, parents, and the Berumbung Baru community regarding bullying still needs to be optimized. If socialization and sharing information is not carried out intensively, bullying is uneasy to be stop.

Bullying is a challenge in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 4 by 2030, especially at SDN 12 Siak Kecil. Bullying has a significant impact on a child's psychological and academic achievement. This paper aims to describe how parents and schools can play a role in preventing bullying in Lubuk Garam Village, Riau Province. Parents have an important role in instilling positive values in their children's upbringing, while the school environment plays a role in shaping children's character during the academic achievement process. Data collection was carried out through interviews and education related to bullying prevention to map the actual role of parents and schools, and analyzing how bullying behavior becomes a crucial problem in achieving quality education. The method used is a qualitative approach. Based on educational activities as well as the results of surveys and interviews, most students admitted to having committed acts of bullying, which proves that there is a lack of role of parents and schools in tackling the problem. This paper shows that the role of parents and schools still needs to be optimized, so that quality education without bullying can be present as a condition that is targeted in achieving SDGs point 4.

Mini biopori is an innovative and efficient technique for producing biocompost. This technique utilizes used containers that are environmentally friendly, allowing the community to independently process household organic waste. In addition to reducing waste, this technique also produces fertilizer that is beneficial for horticultural plants. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge and insights to the community about the application of mini biopori technology in used containers for horticultural plant production, enhance the community's skills in applying mini biopori technology, utilize the biocompost produced from biopori infiltration holes for planting horticultural crops, and assist the community from an economic aspect (increasing community income) by using simple and inexpensive materials to produce high-value horticultural plants. This activity is conducted in Sungai Berbari Village, Pusako District, Siak Regency. The methods of this community service consist of several stages, including preparation, training through lectures and discussions, practical implementation of the mini biopori technique, and evaluation, which considers the conditions before and after the training activities. The results of this activity indicate that the participants have a better understanding of the biocompost production process and the benefits of the mini biopori technique. All participants (100%) considered the mini biopore technique training to be very beneficial, indicating that this training has successfully provided added value to the participants. A total of 70% of the participants showed an interest in applying the mini biopore technique in their homes. The mini biopore technique is considered effective in managing organic waste, producing beneficial fertilizer, and has the potential to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers. Additionally, implementing this technique can lower agricultural production costs, increase crop yields, and contribute to long-term economic well-being in the community.

The Assisted Village Program in 2024 is the development of the territorial field, namely promoting mangroves as one of the green economy assets to improve community welfare. KPM Sekat Bakau partners in Buruk Bakul Village have been given a transfer of science and technology of mangrove ecoprint batik technology to produce a superior mangrove product. The objectives of the activity are: a) Increase partner knowledge and skills in the form of transfer of green economic science and technology based on mangrove ecoprint batik and b) Foster motivation for partners and the community to develop the assisted village, including sustainable mangrove forest conservation efforts. It is expected that the introduction of a mangrove eco-print batik technique can improve the science and skills of partners. The target audience involved amounted to 20 people. The results of this program activity showed that the partners were very enthusiastic and welcomed the transfer of mangrove ecoprint batik. The perception of the majority of partners expressed support for the Assisted Village Program activities, namely: strongly agree (48%), agree (43.5%) and neutral (8.5%). Partners are willing to build a self-reliant assisted village and preserve the mangrove forest in Buruk Bakul Village in a sustainable manner.

The Dokdak Village blacksmith community group is a community whose majority livelihood is as blacksmith craftsmen with a total of 27 craftsmen. This community group is located in Baregbeg village, Ciamis district. The Blacksmith Village community group has quite a lot of problems, one of which is the use of traditional means of producing goods. This causes the low quality of the goods produced, so they are still unable to compete with those produced outside the Ciamis district area. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to use modern goods production equipment, namely belt grinder machines to improve the quality of the goods produced. The method used in this service activity is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) with the steps taken, namely socialization, training, application of technology, mentoring, and evaluation as well as program sustainability activities after the service is completed. The results of service activities show that community knowledge and understanding regarding the use of belt grinder machines increased from 50% to 80%. Apart from that, the use of a belt grinder machine can improve the quality of the goods produced, increasing the selling value of goods that were initially sold for IDR 50,000 to IDR 150,000. Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that the use of modern goods production tools can help solve the problems faced by craftsmen.

The practical method was carried out by direct demonstration in the field about all the material that had been given previously. The results of the evaluation of changes in knowledge carried out on 15 participants in the activity shown that 11 people (73.33%) were able to absorb the material provided with a very good predicate, 3 people (20%) were able to absorb the material provided with a good predicate, 1 person (6.67%) was able to absorb the material with a sufficient predicate while those who obtained a very poor predicate and a poor predicate were not found. PPK Ormawa Himagrotek Unri conducts training in making briquettes from palm frond waste as a form of community empowerment which aims to increase community knowledge about making briquettes from palm fronds, increase public awareness about the importance of environmental conservation, and improve the economy of the Sungai Pagar Village community. The method used in this activity is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) in increasing awareness and actualization of environmentally friendly behavior of the community through developed institutions. Before the training, the community's knowledge about making briquettes from palm fronds was only 17.3 %. After the training, community knowledge about briquette making increased to 100%. Based on the PPK Ormawa briquetting training program, it is hoped that the Sungai Pagar Village community can utilize the potential of oil palm frond waste to improve the economy and also preserve the environment.

The traditional food products of nisan and oluo are local heritage items obtained through the process of menggelek tobu. As local products, nisan and oluo have rich and distinctive cultural value. This study intends to explore the significant role that labeling and packaging design have in promoting and spreading local culture to the larger community, as well as in improving the perception of local nisan and oluo. Incorporating cultural components such as symbols, theme colors, patterns, and language into packaging design can give it a distinctive personality and attract customers. When packaging design effectively portrays the cultural richness and history of a region, local products like nisan and oluo become more appealing and instill a sense of pride in the local community. The results indicate that using cultural information on packaging design and labeling containing cultural information can be a useful strategy improving the perception of local nisan and oluo food products and bringing culture to a larger audience. In the era of globalization, efforts to preserve cultural diversity and promote local products should be recognized and strengthened through smart and sustainable packaging design. Local products can therefore be a powerful representation of valuable cultural identity and contribute positively to the economy and cultural awareness both nationally and internationally.

The purpose of this community service activity is to increase insight and knowledge about the empowerment and utilization of organic kitchen waste with the Eco-Enzyme method as liquid fertilizer for plants in the Tanjung Gading village farmer group. With this community service activity, the level of knowledge and motivation for making eco-enzyme in farmer groups increased from 18.8% to 100%.

Living in a village with Refugees could develop various conflicts neither from refugees nor villagers. The research question arises on the adaptation strategies of villagers to live with the refugees in their village in regard to achieve SDGs Number 16,3,4 & 5. The approach used in this service is socio-legal. The findings show that there are challenges faced by the villagers; (a) incomprehension of villagers living near to Emergency Refugee Camp; (b) tendency of social jealousy from villagers to refugees; and (c) uncertain time for refugee leaving to third country. There were two activities to achieve the results; Conducting pre-post test and legal lecture which involved the village/sub district/district/provincial Government and villagers concerning Law and Refugees. The findings showed that the objectives were achieved due to (a) Increased knowledge of participants about refugees; (b) The presence of village / sub-district / district and provincial officials, IDCs, UNHCR and IOM as participants and resource persons; In conclusion, these two factors provide the ability of villagers to adapt and mitigate conflicts in living side by side with refugees. However, local government and IDC support is needed to UNHCR and IOM to immediately place refugees in temporary camps with access to clean water.

Literacy anda numeracy are basic skills that are very important for elementary school students to master as a foundation for learning at a more advanced level. However, conventional approaches are often less able to attract students’ interest, especially when the material presented is not directly related to their environment or culture. To overcome this, this activity develops and implements a storybooks that integrates Indragiri Hulu culture values. This storybook is designed not only to strengthen reading and counting skilss, but also to foster a sense of love and pride for local cultural heritage. The main source of energy is the rambutan tree trunk, which gives a distinctive aroma to smoked fish. The method used is direct training to apply new techniques in this industry, with raw materials of patin fish (30 kg) and catfish (40 kg). The smoking process takes 24 hours, producing efficient and high-quality smoked fish, seen from its bright color and fragrant aroma. This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to improve the quality and quantity of production of the UKM MINA SALAI KUARAN business group. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Bandar Laksamana District, Bengkalis, Riau have been identified by FMIPA students from Riau University who participated in the Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Community Service Program (Kukerta) in 2024. There are 66 UMKM in three villages with various businesses such as stalls, fried foods, beauty, culinary, craftsmen. The people of one village seemed apathetic in managing UMKM because they were considered as side businesses only, had no prospects for development and were not interested in participating in online marketing training. From observations, several UMKM products have the potential to be marketed online because they are unique as typical Malay foods. An approach was made to UMKM actors to be assisted in having the skills to design attractive and dynamic packaging labels, assisting online marketing until the market reaches various corners of the country. A good product packaging label will advance the business and introduce the diversity of typical Malay culinary delights to the public. Canva is a simple graphic design application that is easy for beginners to use. Canva provides paid and free services with various easy-to-adopt template features with various completeness such as image cropping, text insertion, color, and so on. The Canva application needs to be introduced to UMKM to attract their product market through unique and attractive banner, poster, and banner designs so that the product display remains fresh, updated according to needs.

Forest and land fires in general have negative environmental, economic and social impacts. Fires not only threaten air quality and human health, but threaten the economic value of mangrove ecosystems on the coast. The socialisation of forest and land fire prevention to mangrove management groups in Buruk Bakul Village aims to provide knowledge to mangrove management groups about the role and involvement of the community in preventing forest and land fires in mangrove forest conservation activities. This socialisation is expected to make people aware of how important it is to preserve the environment and create a balance in the mangrove ecosystem. The target group of this education is the Mangrove Conservation Activist Community Group ‘Sekat Bakau’ which is one of the self-help groups in Buruk Bakul Village, Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency. The method used was socialisation and tutorial on community-based forest and land fire prevention. The socialisation began with a pre-test, presentation of material accompanied by interactive discussion and post-test. At the end of the activity, a field visit was conducted to monitor fire-prone areas. The result was that the socialisation was very interactive and received a positive response from the target group who conserve and utilise mangrove areas through activities, including the Mangrove Bank, mangrove seedling planting, rehabilitation and restoration and as a mangrove educational tourism village. However, this group does not regularly receive knowledge about forest and land fires as a form of prevention. The post-activity evaluation has proven that this educational activity has increased the understanding and knowledge of the target group and for the sustainability process, it is necessary to coordinate with stake holders to make a schedule for regular and integrated socialisation of forest and land fires.

Palm oil has become one of Indonesia's most important agricultural commodities, contributing significantly to the national economy. However, the sector also faces challenges related to sustainability, especially among independent smallholders. Recent research shows that the escalation of agricultural cooperatives can be an effective solution to improve the sustainability of oil palm plantation businesses for independent smallholders. The administration of sustainable oil palm plantations is an important element in realizing environmentally and socially responsible plantation practices. However, many oil palm smallholders in Beringin Indah Village still experience obstacles in fulfilling these administrative requirements.Dedication is carried out to solve this problem. This service is carried out from 15 July to 25 August 2024. This dedication aims to analyze the capacity building needs of oil palm smallholders in fulfilling sustainable plantation administration and design an appropriate capacity building program. The capacity building program designed includes training on sustainable plantation certification standards, documentation and reporting workshops, and assistance in managing plantation administration. The implementation of this program is expected to increase the capacity of farmers in fulfilling administrative requirements, thus encouraging the realization of sustainable oil palm plantation practices in Beringin Indah Village. This dedication contributes to the development of strategies to empower oil palm smallholders to support environmental sustainability and improve community welfare. The results of this dedication can be a reference for local governments, companies, and related organizations in designing capacity building programs that suit the needs of oil palm farmers.

Fish smoking in Langgam Village is done traditionally and has been passed down from generation to generation. The use of different wood fuels provides different quality smoking results. The fuels that are often used are laban wood, coconut shells and corn cobs. There are several smoked fish processing groups that use different wood fuels that have commercial potential in Langgam village. The types of fish that are usually processed are selais, baung and catfish.The problem based on the survey results faced by the fishery product processing group in this village is that the smoked fish processing group does not yet have knowledge about CPPB-IRT. The aim of this service activity is to find solutions to every problem raised by the group, so that smoked fish products can compete in the market and expand marketing reach outside the province. The method used in this service is qualitative by collecting data through interviews, observation, counseling, training and mentoring of smoked fish processing groups. The results of the activity show that group members have gained knowledge and understanding about CPPB-IRT for processing smoked fish and know the best fuel to use for processing smoked fish.

The utilization of banana peel waste as compost is motivated by the large number of bananas consumed by the community, precisely in Tompong Patu Village in various kinds of processed foods, including processed as fried bananas which are in great demand by the community, so that it can produce quite a lot of waste. However, this problem has not been fully realized by the community, especially the partners of the Tompong Patu Village Family Hope Group. This is due to the low ability and understanding of partners, both waste processing and the impact of waste. Therefore, this community service program will help partners in overcoming waste problems by processing banana peel and skin waste into compost. The implementation method in this community service is carried out by following three stages, namely Socialization, Training and Assistance. One of the Kukerta MBKM UNRI service activities is carried out through Historum (History Forum) by highlighting and popularizing local traditions, namely the Melaro Tradition in Redang Village. The Melaro tradition is the local culture of Redang Village which must be preserved by fostering a sense of pride in the local traditions that are owned and requires participation from the community around Redang Village. This service uses a descriptive research study with qualitative research methods with primary data sources, namely interviews with traditional elders in four hamlets in Redang Village. The interview data obtained will be compiled and made into an infographic. Secondary data sources were obtained from several research journals. Data collection techniques are carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the service show that preserving the Melaro tradition with Historum can provide awareness of the importance of protecting the environment where the Melaro Tradition is carried out. Historum's role by involving traditional elders, village administrators and the community around Redang Village can provide positive things in the form of a perspective on the importance of preserving the Melaro tradition. This product has never been introduced by extension workers or other product innovations, especially in Bone Regency. Community empowerment through this service program is carried out through three main stages, namely counseling, training and mentoring. Apart from that, partners have also succeeded in marketing products through the Marketplace with an increase in productivity of up to 99%. This community service activity aims to enhance self-management among hypertension sufferers in Agrowisata Village, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City. The methods employed in this initiative include blood pressure identification, free medication provision, family education regarding hypertension care, and the establishment of hypertension awareness cadres. Measurement results indicate that only 20% of patients have controlled blood pressure, with 75% not regularly taking antihypertensive medication. Education was provided to improve understanding of the importance of regular medication adherence, while the trained cadres are expected to support the sustainability of this program. One of the solutions implemented to address the issue of school dropouts is the initiation of the AGIBS Taruna Course and Training Institute (LKP) development. To realize the initial steps of this LKP development, several activities and role distributions were carried out. Among them, PP AGIBS contributes as the provider of infrastructure, including location, office space, office supplies, and other related facilities, while the service implementation team from Riau University provides human resources as instructors and supplies training equipment for PLTS installation techniques. Indonesia, with its diverse natural resources that have potential as tourist destinations, has many tourist sites. Many tourist areas and villages depend on this sector to improve the local economy. An example is Kebontunggul Village, Pacet, Mojokerto Regency, which utilizes Mbencirang Valley as a tourist and outbound destination with natural beauty and attractive facilities. This study aims to test the hypothesis that the use of Canva can improve the quality of tourism publication media design and ultimately have a positive impact on consumer perceptions. Adolescence is a transitional age stage from children to adults. In adolescence, a person will experience various changes related to the transition process towards adulthood, such as the biological and psychosexual aspects for a teenager which are very important, because they will determine the quality of teenagers as the next generation of the nation in the future. The aim of this community service activity is to provide knowledge about normal and deviant development in the biological and psychosexual aspects of adolescents. The activity was carried out in Sri Meranti Village with an age range of 12-19 years. There were 30 teenagers involved. The results of the education show that the average score of teenagers' knowledge about biological and psychosexual development of teenagers before education was 7, while the average score after being given education was 8.03, meaning that there was an increase in the knowledge score of 1.03 after teenagers received education about biological and psychosexual development of teenagers. . The impact of this community service is that teenagers are able to understand normal and deviant aspects of biological and psychosexual development so that they can be monitored in order to achieve optimal mental health for teenagers.

One of the causes is their limited knowledge, which affects their decision-making when it comes to choosing nutritious food from the options available to them. To address these issues, nutritional status screening training and health education are necessary to prevent malnutrition among adolescents. This community service aims to increase health knowledge among teenagers and improve their skills in screening for nutritional status. The method used is training through the provision of health information related to balanced nutrition, reproductive health, and the nutritional needs of teenagers. After the material is delivered, the program continues with a simulation involving weighing, measuring height, and calculating body mass index. This activity involved 20 teenagers in Limbungan Baru Village, Pekanbaru City. The results showed an increase in the percentage of teenagers with a good level of knowledge, from 15% before the training to 75% after the training. Adolescents who have received training need to be involved in posyandu (community health center) activities so that their skills are maintained and can contribute to increasing community independence in maintaining health status.

Silvofishery education in mangrove ecosystem management aims to integrate aquaculture with mangrove forest preservation and management, fostering a balance between human activities and environmental sustainability within mangrove ecosystems. Residents of Putri Sembilan Village, situated adjacent to the mangrove ecosystem, have the potential to enhance mangrove forest management and sustainability through silvofishery practices. This educational initiative commenced with problem identification through discussions between the community service team and the Forestry Training and Community Empowerment Unit of the Riau Provincial Environment and Forestry Service. The agreed-upon approach involved educating Putri Sembilan Rupat Utara Village residents through lectures and practical tutorials. The educational process included pre-tests, presentations, question-and-answer sessions, interactive discussions, post-tests, and concluded with field practice. The education was well-received by participants, who engaged actively throughout. A key finding was that while most Putri Sembilan Village residents utilize the mangrove ecosystem for educational ecotourism and to mitigate residential land abrasion, there remains a limited understanding of mangrove forest preservation and silvofishery utilization for mangrove crab (Scylla serrata) cultivation. Post-activity evaluation demonstrated that silvofishery education significantly improved residents' understanding of the balance between utilization and conservation. Cultural integration in mathematics learning is one of the learning approaches that must be possessed by elementary school teachers in Indonesia. However, many teachers still have difficulty in integrating it. The initial step taken was to measure teachers’ knowledge of ethno-didactic of mathematics by providing a survey to 16 teachers from SDN 003 Kandis. The teachers were given 5 statements related to their understanding of ethno-didactics of mathematics on a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent). The results of this initial survey indicate that teachers’ knowledge of ethno-didactic of mathematics is still in the low category, so it is necessary to conduct a workshop to strengthen the competence of elementary school teachers’ knowledge of ethno-didactics of mathematics and be able to use it in designing mathematics learning in elementary schools.

The Balikpapan University lecturer team provided sustainable tourism management training to members of the Bamboe Wanadesa tourism management in the form of socialization of waste sorting and processing waste into compost as well as training in processing bamboo leaves into cookies and bamboo leaf tea. The results of the community service activities showed that the members were very enthusiastic and actively discussed with the speakers. Eighty percent of the participants have understood the contents of the training material and followed up by practicing waste sorting and processing bamboo leaves into cookies and bamboo leaf tea.

Ikhlas Waste Bank is a newly established waste bank in 2023, located in Perumahan Putri Tujuh II, Sidomulyo Barat Village, Pekanbaru City. This waste bank currently has a relatively small number of customers, comprising only about 24% of the households. Additionally, the activities at the waste bank are still in the early stages of sorting waste. Therefore, the development of the waste bank is expected to improve waste management, both in terms of increasing the number of customers and expanding the range of activities. The method for this initiative involves motivating and educating residents through outreach and socialization. The material includes encouraging residents to raise awareness about reducing waste at landfills (TPA) and turning waste into money by depositing it at the waste bank. Furthermore, training is provided on creative activities to utilize waste through 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) practices. The 3R waste utilization training is very popular among residents, as it provides new skills and knowledge and offers economic benefits. Various recycled products are made from waste, such as wallets, bags, laptop cases, tumbler covers, and more. These products can be used personally or marketed online. Thus, the waste bank not only collects waste from the community but also transforms it into useful items.

The ability in Information and Communication Technology or ICT is very much needed nowadays because of the increasing modernization in almost all aspects of life. This ability is also very much needed even since elementary school age. In the education system in Indonesia, there is an assessment program, namely ANBK. This program is intended for students in grade 5 at elementary school level, grade 8 at junior high school level, and grade 11 at high school/vocational school level. One of the schools that participated in this ANBK program is SDN 015 Pasir Keranji which is located in Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. However, there is a problem, namely the lack of knowledge of students at SDN 015 Pasir Keranji regarding the use of computers. Therefore, as a form of community service, KUKERTA Students of Riau University carried out socialization and training in the use of computers for students at SDN 015 Pasir Keranji, especially for students in grade 5. This training includes training in the use of word processing applications, namely Microsoft Word, as well as training in filling out online forms as well as simulations of the implementation of ANBK, namely using Google Form media. This training is expected to provide knowledge and skills to students of SDN 015 Pasir Keranji in using computers, especially as preparation for facing the ANBK program.

This service program aims to increase the independence and welfare of bitter melon chip entrepreneurs in Dilem Village, Mojokerto through digitalization marketing. Entrepreneurs in this village face challenges in expanding the market due to limited knowledge about digital technology. The program began with a survey to identify the digital skill levels of entrepreneurs, which showed that most still rely on traditional marketing methods. In response, intensive training was provided, covering the use of social media, e-commerce platforms, as well as digital marketing strategies and content marketing. Based on the results of the survey, the service team conducted training and assistance regarding marketing digitalization. The results of the program show a significant increase in digital skills among entrepreneurs, characterized by the active use of social media and e-commerce in marketing their products. In addition, sales volume is increasing, which has a positive impact on the economic well-being of entrepreneurs. Digitalization marketing is effective in expanding the market and increasing the competitiveness of local products. This program provides a model that can be adapted by other small and medium entrepreneurs to support the independence and economic welfare of bitter melon chip entrepreneurs in Dilem Mojokerto Regency.

This article explains an issue about bullying that become one of the major obstacles in creating quality, safe, far-from-violence, and inclusive education as emphasized by the United Nations in achieving point 4 of the SDGs. Bullying behavior not only has a significant impact on psychological conditions but also affects the overall learning process for students. Various actions have been implied to overcome bullying in schools, such as implementing an anti-bullying outreach program that has been carried out. Having information that, achieving quality education is also hampered by the lack of detailed data on the prevalence and impact of bullying in schools. To broadly support the achievement of the SDGs, our team of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, conducted anti-bullying socialization program, exploring the prevalence and dynamics of bullying, especially in schools in Banjar Seminai Village, Dayun District, Siak Regency, which is the location of MBKM from Faculty of Social dan Political Sciences, Universitas Riau. The data was collected by doing socialization and filling out questionnaires after carrying out anti-bullying socialization to students in grades 4, 5, and 6 at SD 03 and 04 Banjar Seminai as well as students and students in grades 7, 8, and 9 at Junior High School (SMP 05 Dayun). Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a dangerous disease because it can cause many complications. Physical activity is one of the important things needed for successful diabetes treatment. The Indonesian Endocrine Association stated that to successfully overcome diabetes, 4 pillars of success are needed, namely education, diet, activity and treatment (Perkeni, 2019). Physical activity must also be balanced with compliance in taking antidiabetic drugs as a form of pharmacological intervention (Prasetyani, 2017). The purpose of this activity is to provide information for DM sufferers in carrying out physical activities. This activity began with a meeting with the Head of the Health Center to apply for activity permits and conduct an assessment of DM sufferers who wanted to take part in health education, then continued with education and evaluation, namely seeing the achievements of the results of the health education carried out including the level of knowledge of attitudes, enthusiasm and KGD values of the participants. The results showed that the group of DM sufferers were very enthusiastic about participating in the socialization of physical exercise in controlling blood sugar levels and were willing to carry out special group activities for DM sufferers routinely with a Good knowledge level reaching 85%.

Utilization of coconut fiber waste into craft commodities for UMKM in Gaung Anak Serka District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, aims to improve community skills, create economic opportunities, and reduce coconut fiber waste. This activity involves training on processing techniques, making flower pots, and effective marketing strategies. This Community Service Activity uses the Service Learning (SL) approach, which consists of several stages, namely identification of community problems or needs, integration of academic learning, community service, collaboration with community partners, reflection and evaluation, and continuous learning. Overall, the response from participants was very good, namely 86.50%. This shows an increase in participant knowledge and skills, which contributes to increased income through marketed flower pots. In addition, this program encourages continuous learning and collaboration between the community, UMKM actors and universities to support innovation. Thus, the utilization of coconut fiber waste not only provides economic benefits but also contributes to environmental sustainability and community and UMKM development.

As an inclusive movement for independent farmers, who constitute the most dominant actors, accounting for 70% of palm oil plantation management in Riau Province in 2023, and supported by Riau Province's status, holding 23% of the largest palm oil plantation area in Indonesia in 2023. The service method employed is CARE's Pathways Approach, which encourages the capacity building of independent farmers through training and mentoring in more efficient and sustainable plantation administration techniques. By facilitating independent farmers' access to new technologies and innovations, CARE’s Pathways Approach can aid independent palm oil farmers in accelerating their participation in smallholder oil palm replanting, ISPO (Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil), RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), and maximizing efficiency in resource management, particularly in improving plantation administration skills. This includes the use of technology such as electronics, smartphones, email, and other features that can streamline the data collection process, especially for independent palm oil farmer groups, and simplify the process of applying for STDB (Smallholder Palm Oil Plantation Business Registration) and SPPL (Environmental Management and Monitoring Statement) as initial steps toward obtaining sustainable palm oil plantation certification in Indonesia. The findings indicate that Beringin Jaya Village Unit Cooperative (KUD) as the representative of palm oil farmers in Beringin Indah Village has fully participated in the education and socialization processes. This is evidenced by evaluation results showing the capacity and efficiency of this empowerment, which has had a positive impact on the cooperative.

The implementation of education begins with the implementation of a pre-test, presentation of materials accompanied by interactive discussions and post-tests. At the end of the activity, a field review was carried out as a candidate for the silvofishery location. The result is that the implementation of this education is very interactive and gets a positive response from the target group who have long struggled to preserve and utilize the mangrove area through several activities, including planting mangrove seedlings and making abrasion prevention tools and producing mangrove products as well as a mangrove educational tourism village. However, this group does not yet know and understand this silvofishery as a form of environmentally friendly mangrove forest preservation and utilization. Post-activity evaluation has proven that this educational activity has increased the understanding of the target group to diversify their activities in the future. Branding strategy of tofu business in Beligan Village as an effort to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) need to be considered. A qualitative analysis approach was taken to identify the challenges and opportunities faced by tofu businesses in marketing their products. Through in-depth interviews and observations, it was found that limited understanding of branding and marketing is a major obstacle. As a solution, it is suggested that implementation steps that include developing a strong brand identity, through the use of print media, social media and promotional videos need to be improved. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of appropriate branding strategies can increase the visibility of tofu products, expand market share, and ultimately empower tofu entrepreneurs of Beligan Village, Seberida District, Indragiri Hulu, Riau economically. This research is expected to be a reference for the development of MSMEs in other areas with similar potential.

Rice straw is rice plant waste which is usually used as animal feed. However, rice straw has a very low nutritional content if used directly when fresh. Therefore, increasing the nutrition of straw as animal feed can be done by fermenting straw. The nutritional difference between fermented and unfermented rice straw is an increase in protein content of up to 15%. This service aims to provide assistance to farmers in Langsat Permai Village in making fermented animal feed made from rice straw. Fermentation activities were carried out using bioactivators and carried out for one month. The service partners are the Rukun Sentosa farmer group which consists of 14 cattle breeders. The results of the activity show that cattle breeders have not optimally processed forage into feed. Farmers use fresh feed more than fermented feed. By providing fermented animal feed production, this can provide another option in providing animal feed. Apart from that, it is hoped that the presence of straw waste can not only be used as compost, but can also be used as fermented animal feed which can overcome the problem of feed availability in the dry season and provide additional nutrition to livestock.

This Community Partnership Empowerment (PKM) activity aims to provide tsunami disaster mitigation education in Elementary Schools in 7 Districts through socialization and training, where the delivery of disaster themes is given in an interesting way using e-comic media and animated films about tsunamis. This is done to build the preparedness of the golden generation of Indonesia who are pro-active in prevention efforts to reduce disaster risks. The method used is Community Capacity Building or increasing community capacity to help improve community capabilities. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of tsunamis (before 28.33% and after socialization 100%). In the training, there was an increase in participant skills (previously not competent: 0% and after training 100%). The activity received a very good response, participants were very enthusiastic and active in every activity. This activity was able to increase participants' understanding and knowledge which is to change fear into strength by being ready so that they are responsive and resilient in facing the threat of a tsunami.

TOGA plant is a family medicinal plant that has many properties that can be processed into traditional herbal medicine to overcome various health problems. TOGA plants do not need a large land, just by utilizing an empty yard to be useful. The lack of knowledge and awareness of the people of Bancer Village, Ngraho District, Bojonegoro Regency about the efficacy of the TOGA plant is a problem. KKN-TK students of group 19 of Bojonegoro University conducted counseling and socialization directly by involving housewives in Bancer Village with the aim of recalling the benefits of TOGA plants for health, in addition to practical training and direct guidance on planting TOGA plants in the yard to be used and cultivated. The method of implementing this activity includes observation, socialization, as well as practice and community empowerment by involving the people of Bancer Village. Waste coconut fiber can be converted into a liquid organic fertilizer that is extremely beneficial to plants. The composition of organic fertilizer made from coconut fiber can aid in providing the nutrients that plants require. The purpose of community service projects is to observe how the growth of vegetable and fruit plants is affected by the availability of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) made from coconut fiber, to reduce the amount of waste generated by coconut fiber, and to teach the community how to turn waste coconut fiber into marketable products that will boost the output of UMKM. Indragiri Hilir Regency's Semambu Kuning Village is where this community service was completed. The techniques employed were counseling and demonstrations, wherein KKN students were given direct instruction on how to make POC based on coconut fiber and were also given theories about liquid organic fertilizers. The community service outcomes demonstrated two things: 1) The local village community expressed interest in converting waste coconut fiber into liquid organic fertilizer with marketable value for resale; and 2) Plant growth and development are positively impacted by the availability of this product. The conclusion of this activity is that the POC demonstration provides new ideas to the village community in utilizing coconut fiber waste that has the potential to be traded.

Rice is the main food commodity grown in Pulau Rambai Village, Kampa District, Kampar Regency. Rice planting in the 2023 planting period occurred crop failure due to pest attacks. The solution offered is the extension of appropriate pest control technology applied by farmers to overcome rice pest attacks. The method of implementing the service is survey, consolidation, counseling and control practices. The measuring tool for the achievement of service activities is understanding and knowledge, a questionnaire is distributed before and after the service activity so that a percentage increase is obtained. Farmers can practice and carry out the service activities that are advised, the level of success is measured by the percentage of farmers who carry it out. The service activity was carried out at the Pulau Rambai Village Musholla on Thursday, July 25, 2024. The results of respondents from 31 farmers were rat infestation, grasshoppers, brown planthopper and snails were 93.5%. Farmers before the service answered pest control by spraying pesticides 77.4%, rats were fumigated 12.9%, mosquito nets for grasshoppers 6.45%. 100% of farmers have never used botanical pesticides. After counseling, farmers' understanding of rice pest control increased, namely controlling rat using composting and poisonous bait 28%, grasshoppers with botanical pesticides and biological agents 56%. Farmers practiced the activities that were advised in the form of control using biological agents Metarhizium sp, botanical pesticides were 27,5%.

The method used was a holistic approach, designing and implementing an integrated disease management strategy, including health condition monitoring, care planning, and health education to the community, developing and maintaining a dedicated website that provides health information related to non-communicable diseases, health condition monitoring tools, as well as interactive features for the community of Kelambir Lima Village in managing their health independently. providing training to the community on how to use the website to monitor health conditions, access accurate health information, and implement steps to improve healthy lifestyles to prevent and manage NCDs. Findings showed increased community participation in personal health management, and improved understanding of health conditions. It is recommended that the integration of nursing innovation and information technology can bring about a revolution in NCD management and drive positive changes in public health.

This assistance has a purpose aims to produce appropriate technology through the use of solid and liquid waste from livestock manure as a source of biogas. The community of Lubuk Bendahara Village on oil palm plantations for their livelihood. Currently, the oil palm farmers are organized into five active farmer groups. The implementation of sustainable plantation practices, as required by the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification, presents both a challenge and a necessity for these farmers. According to Presidential Regulation No. 44 of 2020 and the Ministry of Agriculture Regulation No. 38 of 2020, companies and independent farmers must adopt sustainable practices by 2025. This situation requires the farmer groups to continually update their information. Website serves as an effective information system, providing accurate and beneficial information to enhance the role of these groups. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide training on the use of the website luben.id, managed by the village and the farmer groups. The website contains information about the village profile, farmer groups, ISPO materials, and details about oil palm plantations. This activity, conducted from July to August 2024, involves MBKM student interns as agents of change. The outcomes include the establishment of website management, knowledge transfer, and enhanced media literacy among palm oil farmers, particularly in accessing information to support ISPO implementation.

This study aimed to enhance tourism promotion for Desa Kebontunggul, Mojokerto by optimizing the village's website and Instagram account (@lembahmbencirang.id). Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, this research analyzed existing content and identified potential improvements through the creation of creative and engaging audio-visual content. The findings revealed that the application of content marketing principles such as design, relevance, user experience, and tone can significantly improve promotional effectiveness. Furthermore, the study provided recommendations for content types that need to be enhanced to achieve better promotional outcomes. Through the optimization of social media, it is expected to increase the number of tourist visits to Desa Kebontunggul and contribute positively to the local economy. This research is relevant to the development of rural tourism post-pandemic, which increasingly relies on social media as a promotional tool.

The development of technology and information is now growing so fast in all aspects of human life, including aspects of Government. So important and strategic is the existence of technology in the midst of the current era of disruption that ultimately brings demands for the need for digital transformation at all levels of Government, both at the Central, Regional and Village levels. Digital transformation in the Government sector is not easy, let alone the Village Government level. There are many challenges that must be overcome to move towards a fundamental change process in the use of technological instruments for government, ranging from human resources, policy support, budget, technology infrastructure and most importantly political commitment. To realise this, digital leadership skills are needed for all village government officials from the leadership level to the executor. Digital leadership is currently needed because a leader and existing apparatus are required to have the ability to respond to and understand the development of technology and information that is accelerating so quickly. The FISIP UB Internal Community Service activity entitled Strengthening the Capacity of Digital Leadership for the Sumberejo Village Government Apparatus, Madiun District, Madiun Regency is a community service activity designed with the aim of increasing the competence and ability of digital leadership in leaders, village officials and digital cadres in the village, encouraging efforts to accelerate digital transformation in the village by maximising the potential of existing human resources in the village and increasing community participation in development processes and creating innovations based on digital technology at the village level. This article is the result of community service activities carried out through 3 stages, namely first, the preparation stage which includes target mapping activities as well as presenters of community service activities focused on all village officials and digital cadres in the village. second, the socialisation stage in order to equalise perceptions and ensure that the target group as workshop participants have digital awareness and a clear understanding of the purpose, content, and benefits of this activity. Third, the implementation stage where the target group consisting of the Village Head, Village Secretary, BPD, Village Government, Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas as well as digital cadres in the village received direct guidance from professional speakers on digital technology, digital transformation, public service innovation and how to build digital leadership capabilities in the current era.

Khairul Ummah 2 Islamic Boarding School in Pekanbaru Indonesia faced challenges in maintaining its school server operations due to an unstable electricity supply from the state-owned electricity company (PLN). These power fluctuations resulted in hardware damage and disruptions to the academic management system. A hybrid standalone energy system combining solar panels and PLN electricity was designed and implemented to address this issue. The objective was to provide a stable and sustainable energy source to support the school server, which manages academic and administrative data on a cloud computing platform. The methodology involved feasibility studies, system design, equipment procurement, technical installation, and system performance monitoring and evaluation. The implementation results demonstrated that the solar panel system successfully reduced reliance on PLN, increased energy efficiency, and ensured server operation continuity. Evaluations also indicated that the system reduced server downtime by up to 80% and provided several hours of stable electricity during power outages. Implementing the solar-PLN hybrid standalone energy system at Khairul Ummah 2 Boarding School successfully enhanced the stability of the academic management system and reduced electricity-related operational costs. This system is expected to serve as a model for similar technology applications in other educational institutions.

Food additives are compounds that are deliberately added to food in certain quantities and sizes and are involved in processing, packaging and/or storage. Food additives are mixed ingredients that are not part of the food raw materials, but are added to food to influence the nature or shape of the food, including colorings, preservatives, flavorings, anti-caking agents, whiteners and thickeners. Most people use food additives without clear measurements, which will have negative consequences for people's health. Therefore, outreach activities are needed to the public regarding the proper and correct use of food additives. The aim of this service activity is to provide information about food additives to the community, especially the community in Pagaruyung village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. With these service activities and publications, it will help disseminate information regarding the correct use of food additives. Before public outreach, a pre-test was given, where the level of public understanding regarding BTP was 60%. After presenting the BTP material, a post test was carried out where public understanding increased to 92%. For evaluation of the implementation of community service activities, almost all people felt the benefits and were very satisfied with the activities carried out.

The Merapi orchid conservation farmer group is in Turgo, Purwobinangun, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This agricultural collective preserves the Merapi orchid and reintroduces it to its native environment on the slopes of Mount Merapi. Vanda tricolor is an orchid species that requires conservation owing to its declining population, attributed to recurrent eruptions and the exploitation of its native habitat. This adoption initiative necessitates expertise and financial resources; thus, support for farmer groups is essential. The proposed method involves counseling and support for farmers. This program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of farmer group members and orchid conservation advocates in the adoption and reintroduction of Vanda tricolor orchids to their native habitat. This service is implemented by counseling, facilitating equipment and technology transfer, aiding in adopting and returning orchids, and conducting monitoring and evaluation. The event was attended by 5 men and 8 women, all members of the farmer group and supporters of orchid conservation in Merapi. Three adult Vanda tricolor specimens have been reattached to the puspa tree on the slopes of Mount Merapi. The pre-and post-test analysis results indicated that participants' knowledge and comprehension of the adoption and return of Merapi orchids improved from 27.9% to 100% following direct explanations and practical experience.

The fish farming group "Bangun Makmur" from Parit Aman Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, has actively participated in a community service program aimed at introducing and implementing fish farming technologies, particularly probiotic technology for aquaculture water and feed technology enhanced with herbal additives (rabal and white turmeric). The program also seeks to increase income and create job opportunities in the area. The methods used include lectures, practical training, mentoring, as well as monitoring and evaluation of the fish farming process. Through discussion and practice, commonly referred to as "learning by doing," the majority of participants successfully grasped the concept of probiotic technology and herbal feed. Evaluation results indicated that some community members have started applying the technology by constructing ponds and conducting effective fish farming operations. Pagaruyung Village is the largest pineapple producer in Kampar Regency with sales of 10.330 tons per year. The main problem faced by Pagaruyung Village as a pineapple producing center is that most of the pineapples produced are sold fresh at low prices, around Rp. 3,000-5,000 per fruit, so that there are often several obstacles in the distribution of fresh pineapples related to quality, storage, and transportation. Pineapples can be processed into other processed products such as syrup. Syrup is a processed food product that has a long shelf life and a simple production stage. Pineapple syrup can be an effective solution as well as a characteristic of the village to attract local and international tourists, as well as support independent food security efforts.The aim of the community service program through mentoring activities is that Pagaruyung Village, Tapung District, can become an entrepreneurial village in order to create an independent village and improve the economy of village communities through synergy between Riau University as a university and assisted villages within the scope of Riau Province. In this activity, an approach was taken through socialization regarding various processed products made from pineapple, direct practice in making pineapple syrup using simple technology, as well as evaluating activities using a questionnaire. The results of this training reveal the community's innovation and enthusiasm in processing pineapple into pineapple syrup. To achieve the main goal, namely improving the local economy and making Pagaruyung Village a tourist destination, ongoing coaching and training efforts are needed.

Peer education has been widely used as a method of health education for adolescents. However, adolescent health problems are still a concern that requires adolescents to increase literacy and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Youth empowerment carried out in this activity is in the form of peer education using the term influencer to refer to peer educators. A total of 20 students who successfully passed the selection took part in training activities covering physical activity and fitness, reproductive health and nutrition in adolescents as well as using the uksku.id website as a medium for influencers to work. The results of data analysis using the T test showed p < 0.05, meaning there was a difference in knowledge before being given training and after being given training. Training carried out as a form of training for influencers can increase the influencer's knowledge to provide education to their peers. The influencers will then share their learning experiences and insights in the form of writing or posters which are then posted via the uksku.id website. It is hoped that this empowerment activity can become a new trend in increasing health literacy among students.

The activity of introducing furoshiki culture to the community is one of the efforts to preserve the environment. Furoshiki with high aesthetic value is expected to attract the attention of the community to use it as a substitute for plastic packaging. Through the Community Service (PkM) activity organized by the Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP, Riau University, an introduction to the history and culture of furoshiki, the practice of using furoshiki, and distributing questionnaires was carried out to determine the community's perception of the potential for accepting furoshiki as a new culture and habit in the local community. The target community was 50 members of the PKK of Jake Village, Simpang Tiga Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. From the results of the questionnaire, 100% of participants agreed to practice the use of furoshiki, 98% of participants agreed to accept furoshiki as a new culture, 100% of participants agreed with the efforts and means of spreading furoshiki and 90% of participants were interested in furoshiki. Based on these results, it can be said that the community can accept furoshiki culture well to become part of everyday life. However, in order to achieve optimal sustainability, efforts are needed to introduce furoshiki culture more widely in society and to consistently get used to using furoshiki.

This study aimed to analyze the impact of child protection education on increasing parents' and teachers' knowledge of child abuse. The problem addressed is the low level of understanding among parents and teachers regarding child protection concepts, which affects the lack of preventive actions against child abuse in family and school environments. The method used was an experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach involving 40 participants, including parents and teachers. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring participants' knowledge before and after the educational intervention. The pretest results showed that participants' knowledge was in the low category (50.13%). After the education program, the posttest results increased to 88.67%, indicating a high category. These findings suggest that education successfully enhances understanding of child protection, covering children's rights and responsibilities, community roles, and related legal procedures. The conclusion is that child protection education programs are effective in raising awareness and knowledge among parents and teachers, thus promoting a safer and more supportive environment for children's development.
