PENGOLAHAN IKAN JELAWAT DI DESA KUOK, KABUPATEN KAMPAR RIAU
Abstract
The existence of Jelawat fish with a fairly high level production is supported by aquaculture activities that have been carried out by the people of the Kuok Village. Jelawat fish is often consumed as a household dish in general by preparing it with spicy yellow acid, fried or goulashed. However, the processing of Jelawat Fish can be developed into other variations. Community service carried out by UNRI lecturers and Real Work Lecture students in Kuok Village in July 2023 is expected to increase the development of cultural tourism and creative economy of Kuok Village, Kampar Regency. Not only conducting socialization but the service team also carried out direct practice in processing Jelawat Fish into meatballs, risol and fish brains. The achievement of this service can be seen from the increase in Jelawat Fish production with the processing methods that have been carried out and whether it takes place in an alternative way to the people or not. This purpose is not only to increase the economic value of Jelawat Fish, but the processed Jelawat Fish is expected to be a typical souvenir from Kuok Village
