Abstract

The School Literacy Movement (SLM) and the Implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum  (ILC) are still encountering various obstacles, one of which is at SMPN 3 Bukit Batu. This activity aims  to speed up ILC, integrate SLM and support the Project to Strengthen the Pancasila Profile (P5). Mentoring activities are concentrated on teachers as curriculum implementers and students. Mentoring  activities for teachers begin with an analysis of the needs of teacher readiness in ILC. Student coaching  activities are carried out integrated together with kukerta students. Guidance activities for students  include assisting in the manufacture of ecobricks, liquid soap, and teaching aids for the impact of the  dangers of smoking. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. The overall mentoring activities have a  positive impact on teacher skills in 1) preparing learning tools and media, 2) developing students' talent  interests, and 3) increasing the ability to access information technology. Assistance to students causes  students to be motivated because the activities designed are tailored to the interests and talents of  students. For the continued implementation of SLM and ILC at SMPN 3 Bukit Batu, evaluation by the  education office and ongoing assistance by tertiary institutions is needed through community service  activities.
