Abstract

Establishing an independent curriculum requires increasing the teacher's ability to adapt it. One of the main points in the curriculum application is the application of an appropriate learning model. The University of Riau Community Service Team carried out training with elementary school teachers in Dumai City with the aim of providing understanding, empowering and implementing creative and innovative learning models in accordance with the pillars of the Pancasila Student Profile in the Merdeka Curriculum. This Community Service is centered at SDN 023 Teluk Binjai, Dumai City, Riau Province, which is attended by all driving schools in Dumai City, namely SDN 010 Jayamukti, SDN 024 Teluk Binjai, SDN 023 Teluk Binjai, SD IT Ath-Thoriq 2 Muhammadiyah, and SD IT Al-Izzah with 61 elementary school teachers participating. Teachers participate in the entire series of activities very well which has an impact on increasing the competence of a teacher in the world of education as well as changes in teachers in choosing the right learning model according to the needs of students which produces the next generation of independent, creative and innovative people in the future
