Abstract

use of technology through the creation of interactive learning media has become a necessity for teachers. However, there are still many elementary school teachers who have difficulty creating and utilizing technology in creating learning media. This community service activity aims to increase teacher competency through teacher knowledge and skills in creating technology-based interactive learning media for elementary school teachers in Dumai City. Increased teacher competency is measured before and after the activity through pretest and posttest. The results of this workshop show an increase in teacher competency in supporting the independent learning program in the city of Dumai through teacher knowledge and skills, especially in utilizing technology-based interactive learning media. The pretest results showed that 9 participants had high competence, 15 participants had medium competence, and 6 participants had low competence. There was an increase in teacher competence after providing material, question and answer sessions and mentoring to 12 participants with high competence and 18 participants with moderate competence. The implication of this service activity is that it is hoped that teachers can implement various technology-based learning media in the learning process at school
